Vector graphic.

Before numericals where assigned to map our world, the means of measuring had either a formal or bodily reference: words such as inch, foot, yard, stone refers to objects or body parts that were used as a standard to quantify distance and weight.

Assigning vectors as a means to establish a route in between two points is instant and non-sentimental. A form of mapping, an act reminding of the way in which we perceive the digital world in relation to neural activity and sensorial experience.

APF is an experimental vector drawing series started in 2020, an ongoing work that is now consisting of about 100 different drawing files. Based on the "Oscillations" (2016–2019), an etching series of a related nature, this digitised drawing series is made by altering the drawing tool in a computer software by disrupting signals from the light sensor with an oscillating electrical device.

The result of this act is an array of scattered and clustered vectors across the screen area at a pace of about 1000 vectors per minute.
